Theo Mazur and the hair

Morning Map. What does the day ahead look like from here?
Hannah rang while Theo Mazur was attempting to get both children out of the door, and I got eleven minutes of my sister and about four minutes of background that was genuinely one of the funniest things I have heard this year. Theo is a good man and completely out of his depth in a way he has been cheerfully out of his depth for six years, and the hair in that photograph is because the younger one has started putting things in it. I like him. I have liked him since the first time I met him, in the kitchen in Greenfield at Christmas 2019, when my father asked him what he did and he gave an honest and slightly too long answer about logistics software and my father listened to all of it. What I noticed this morning is that I have never once rung Theo. Six years. He is the person who spends the most hours with my sister and I have no independent relationship with him at all, and if Hannah were not in the room I would not know what to say to him past about ninety seconds. I do this. I have one relationship per household.
