Terms of Service
Effective June 10, 2026 · Working draft for the alpha period — these terms will receive formal legal review before public launch.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Map & Mirror (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. The Service is operated by Let's Dinner, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company with operations based in Colorado, USA. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. The Service — and its alpha status
Map & Mirror is a guided self-reflection tool that builds a map of your themes, patterns, practices, and relationships from your own words. It is currently in early alpha: features may change, break, or be removed; availability is not guaranteed; and data-loss bugs, while we work hard to prevent them, are possible. Use the export feature regularly if your map matters to you.
3. Not therapy, not medical care
Map & Mirror is a reflection tool — it is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or a substitute for any of them, and it is not a crisis service. Its AI-generated content can be wrong, incomplete, or unhelpful, and should never be the basis for decisions about your health. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line — in the US, call or text 988. The app will surface region- appropriate crisis resources when conversations touch on these topics, but you should not rely on it for safety.
4. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person; accounts are not transferable.
5. Your content
Everything you share with Map & Mirror — your reflections, and the map, insights, and stories derived from them — is yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for you (including processing by the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy). That license ends when you delete the content or your account.
6. Friends features
Connecting with another user is mutual and consensual. When you accept a connection, you are choosing to share your map and story with that person as described in the Privacy Policy. Treat what friends share with you as confidential — re-sharing someone else's map content outside the Service violates these terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, impersonate, or harm others;
- Probe, scrape, or access data that isn't yours, or circumvent access controls;
- Reverse engineer the Service or use it to build a competing dataset;
- Upload content that is unlawful or that infringes others' rights;
- Resell or provide the Service to third parties.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data; deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination for violation, the same deletion guarantees apply to your data.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated content is probabilistic and may be inaccurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently $0 — the alpha is free).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
12. Changes
If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the updated terms.
