Writing the kind half and going back for the rest
What it is
When you write about Danny you put down the version that is kind about him first, and then have to reopen the laptop for the rest, which is never cruel, just true.
How it affects your life
It showed up watching him in the yard with the dog. The warm half went down straight away, that he is patient past the point where patience is interesting and does not need to be the centre of anything. The frightened half, that the same patience makes him slow and the same steadiness makes him certain he can absorb things alone, only got added after you had closed the laptop and reopened it.
