OPEN QUESTION
Whether I would be told

The question
Underneath the kids question and underneath the money, the thing you found after four minutes of not typing is whether you would find out, whether you would be told. Put in one sentence, it is whether you can plan a life with somebody whose bad news arrives late. Written plainly, it is that you will have a child, there will be a bad year, he will decide on his own how much of it you need to know, and you will find out from a letter.
What hangs on it
It surfaced after Tess asked the easier question over eggs and you moved the conversation instead of answering. You already know the answer to the easy one is yes, which closed off money as the real obstacle and left this.
