Reading a technical note for a message about your character

What it is
When someone gives you a plain, practical correction, you spend the drive home working out whether they meant something about you, and the searching takes longer than the remark did.
How it affects your life
Arlene said you were leaning on it, meaning the clay, and you knew by the end that she meant the clay and nothing else. The eleven minutes went on checking anyway. You noticed it yourself and put it above the collapsed bowl as the more interesting item.
